I think her point more of beating the powers that be at their own game. There are no long-term studies on vaccine safety because the vaccine-pushers say something along the lines of "we know measles is a killer, so it would be unethical NOT to give the shot." So there are no controlled tests. What this woman is saying is that here's a way to PROVE that it wasn't genetics alone that caused her son's autism - that it could have been prevented, and that it could be prevented for others.
Maybe something like this could be done with animals - cloned chimps with different vaccines and environmental factors. But that would be entertaining the possibility that autism isn't hardwired in the womb, regardless of the environment, and I don't see anyone with deep pockets jumping up to look at that.
