I thought (hmm, or maybe I didn't think at all) that it would be a good idea to take the boys school shoe shopping and let them pick out their new shoes all on their own. They weren't happy about getting their feet measured but we managed. Thomas spent 15 minutes trying to bargain with the manager over price reduction while I helped Ryan. Then we waited for Thomas as he felt compelled to face the messy shelves (they ought to be grateful for that compulsion) and off we went to Mcdonald's for another nutritious lunch. Personally, I like to think the boys learned lots of valuable lessons in the process. (that's how I justify our unpredictable excursions LOL)
