Because if he hadn't there's no telling how "those surrounding him" may have ended up.
I wonder if any of them have to deal with autism or anything other than thier own lives.
I wonder what positives there are for the murdered child's family.
I suppose they can possibly become more forgiving people. I mean, Leland is so sensitive and all. It would be a shame for anyone to be angry with such an extraordinary individual.
I can't think of any other positives. But then I have no idea what I'm talking about because I'm basing my decision strictly on what I've read.
