(And yes this is the same message I posted the other day, but alas, all the responses disappeard, so I hope yall will post again a little something about yourselves and your connection to autism....)

I know sometimes its hard to join in when you think all these people know each other, so I am introducing my self again!

I am Cheryl, and my son Daniel has autism. He is 8 years old, nonverbal and makes me appreciate the simpler things in life, which is actually a good thing! He loves to lay in the grass and watch the wind blow the trees, and I have found this to be a very calming passtime. Daniel acquired autism thru the DPT shot...he is severely effected, but he is making progress now with ABA. I also have another son, Gerald, 12 years old, NT...and he is very much into writing screenplays at this time. I get asked weekly to allow him to go to Hollywood to be a star, but i tell him he must wait till he is 18. Hes been asking me to take him since he was 2...lol.

I hope everyone will introduce themselves, newbies, lurkers, and oldtimers. I appreciate the support and friendship I have found with the people of this board, and I hope those of you that have lurked and not joined in will do so,too, so that you may also get the support you need, share your experiences, or provide support to others! Thanks...
