Response to I ... AM ... SOOOOOOOOOOOOO ... MAD

This is the type of parent that I taught parenting skills to. I had to learn to think in new ways. What seemed natural or common sense to me was completely foreign to them. I learned not to think "everyone knows that". This woman is so fortunate that her sons are even alive. We can hope that the parenting classes work and we can pray that the boys don't keep the cycle going when they grow up. It is pretty sad when crimes against humanity warrant less punishment than other types of crimes. The prosecutor said the children were not hurt physically. That is the part that got to me. Bruises heal, the mental and emotional damage will last a lifetime and will invade every action and reaction in these boys lives until they die, even with counseling. Apparently you can murder a soul and execute one's spirit but as long as you don't leave a bruise then we will just ground you for awhile.
