The monastery called Kaymakli in Trabzon has a new iron roof donated by a gas company. It was built two summers ago. I don't konow if it will help with damp and wind due to space(20cm)between the roof's end and wall's end but it will definitely protect frescoes from rain and snow.
The owner of the land says a heavy snowfall destroyed the old roof in 1990s.
