I would get a good cleaning done by the vet to remove any plaque that could cause more decay or more disease and then back it up with home cleanings to try and save the rest of his teeth before it get's worse.I had a Wisdom tooth go bad and it made my tooth right next to it go bad and i had to have both teeth taken out:(. It can spread.
