I have been missing lately...I have tried to read and keep up. I was gone for awhile...helping my daughter move back from college. Also some family drama going on...LOL!! It happens...part of life.
Thank you all for caring....the girls are good...Lex is still working on a full recovery but doing well. The girls are back to playing and being sisters again:)

I "unretired" and went back to work. A million things have been happening in my life, but AJ and I are both doing great and we're still living in our little house out in the country. We're just tottering along into our dotage side by side. He's a little slower to get up and now and then his back acts up, but he still hangs his head over the side of the bathtub and tries to lick me dry and he still gets up a good chase when a cat trespasses into his yard. We don't go for walks anymore, though. He just gets too tired too soon. I do put his collar on him and we toddle out into the yard so he can pee on a different tree every night and he thinks he's been for a walk. And that's the sum total of it.
I may get a book published, though, and working on it is really taking a bite out of the time I have left in the day. And yes, the story does have two Akitas in it.
