My car is running good, idles well, pulls pretty good, and the AF is decent when logged with my LM1 but the fuel economy is horrible and you can often smell strong fumes when at lights.
OK 2.8L VR6 VW motor, 8.5:1 compression, stock internals except the head plate and head bolts, 440cc injectors, T04B turbo (ATP Stage II kit), walbro inline fuel pump.
I can be driving and when I let off the gas to down shift for a light or to just decel you can watch the duty cycle go from like 3% to something in the 40% range and back and forth..
I think this is part of where all my gas is going. I do have the LM1 wideband and I have done 5psi WOT pulls in 3rd to get a look at the curve and set some RPM fuel values and I am not that rich to burn as much gas as I do. I have tried setting up idle TP setting and idle fuel ammount but even when its maxed my car just stalls when I set it to that.
Could the high Duty cycle be a dirty spot (reads 14 for idle tp on display) in the throttle position sensor causing higher resistance and throwing it off?
Help please. With gas being $3 a gallon this is killing me.

oh in those high vacuum ranges I set the fuel value to 1? Because the only time the engine makes that kind of vacuum is downshifting with the throttle closed?
