As an example of nominative determinism (my last name is Mack), I use nothing but Macs at home and in the commercial print side of my business.
I much prefer the Mac UI and the reliability of OSX in terms of running for long periods without OS-related issues.
Anyway, I'm content with the software currently available for the Mac although, as has been said, sometimes you don't know what you don't know.
