I decided to extend the amount of games for suspensions to send a message to certain players. The league will not tolerate fighting, threats toward referees or comments made to family members and fans on the sidelines. I would rather lose a few players or teams than referees, fans and the teams that enjoy a Sunday afternoon of flag football with their families & friends. The CDFFL will not become a thug league under my watch.

The message board is also for families to enjoy as well as the NFL youth flag football league. Do not use profanity or make threats to players on this board. Spelling a word with a star* in it does not take the meaning from the word itself.

Frank , Im not sure where you get your info . However the fight was not one way . As far as threats towards the fans . It was shocker fans shouting across the field at me first . Second , as i was trying to leave a group of women started a shouting match with me in the parking lot and a fake looking biker stared me down like i was a piece of candy . So all im saying is look more into it frank , ive been in the league for a long time and never once did my name come up for bad conduct . i was not there to see what happened, but have played against D-Ray in the past 2 seasons and have seen nothing but a classy player. he is definately not a thug-type player. im sure there is more to what happened than what one person has said.

hey, i dont usually talk much, but johnny palmer, ur momma is like my sugar momma, so i was just tryin to say that D-ray is an aight guy, so whatevr, i don't really care... don't suspend him....

i don't think anyone is saying that he's some horrible guy. but to come on here and say that his suspension should be reduced without even knowing the whole situation is just ignorant. how would you guys feel if that was your wife, mother or daughter that he was making those comments/threats to??? not to mention there are always numerous young children running around on the sideline who really don't need to be hearing that kind of language anyway. some people need to learn how to show a little class and have a little respect, just my opinion.

I showed up for my game right as the screaming match between the Shockers fans and D-Rays was going down, and it wasnt like he was just yelling at fans and making threats. From what I heard they were yelling at eachother, and both parties seemed to be equally responsible. However I did not see anything before that so I don't know what happened, just thought I would clear that up from what I witnessed.

You know, FatManWithHands, I'm going to tell you the same thing that I told your teammate, Bigguy, since you don't play for the Shockers or Delorey's and do not know the situation, why bother responding? JMO, I guess......

What happened was not right on both sides it always takes 2 or more parties. But just a fan so do you play? i dont understand how you can come on here and tell people to stay out of it if they are not on either team but you should take your owne advise i see you posted up right after franks post. so i am assuming you play for one of these 2 teams I dont belive you play for deloreys if not you should not respond right just like you said.. When players play with intensity things tend to happen players need to realize that repercussions can happen for there actions but to suspend one player and not other is a little unfair.

I dont see anyone else who possibly coudl be suspended?? gunna suspend the fans. Dray was looking for a fight with anyone who would give him one. Pete said nothing but good sportsmanship remarks to DRay I was right there while DRay continued to say stuff about him are team and his wife. Then DRay went after Soroka and at that point soroka held his head down and myself and brandon pulled him away. that was that. No one else is at fault here except Dray.

Whether or not fans said anything to him or not should not matter he is a grown man (30 years old) as he makes it known to everyone out there lol he should be mature enough to not say anything back and or attack an opposing teams players. We have all got along with DRay and know hes a ball buster but he took it to the next level and crossed the line this time

Deloreys93 - I don't play and I apologize, you are right. I'm staying out of it. What happened between the 2 players that everone is talking about, is between them, they are big boys and they can handle it. It's just annoying to see people getting on here talking about how they showed up at the end and what they saw, that's all.

Hey frank i think four games is a little tough for d- ray. I myself know that he has a lot more class than what people told you. I played with him for a couple of seasons and it dont help him that, that sick nasty dude with da funny hair is the troy comm. I would also like to add that i played with and against pete and he does have a loud mouth. Just my thoughts people take it any way you want. One more thang most fans talk more $hit than the players.

What happened was my fault and my fault only , however being that my past conduct in the league was nothing but stellar . The punishment should be shortened . Edge whats good . i could see if Frank said "from now on fighting will be four games" but to throw someone 4 games just like that is uncalled for. if you break a law the judge doesnt say " first time offender.. lets double your sentence to make an example out of you! "

I agree with you 100%. It would be a much better league without fighting on the field. And lets face it...... How many teams have actually lost a game because of a call a by a ref? If you get beat its usually by more than a bad call. We only blame them if we're losing. lol. A little trash talking on the field is what makes football football. But when you cross the line and start throwing punches you cheapen the game. If it were up to me The 1st time someone gets into a fight on the field--- Who ever starts it. 3 game automatic supension. The other person 1 game suspension. Second fight, gone for life. Just my thoughts. I don't tolerate that kind of teenage BS. We all gotta grow up some time.

lets face it we are grown men and this type of stuff happens every weekend whether it's a punch or yelling at the ref or players arguing or pushing each other. I even see I player push a ref and nothing happened to that player. Suspended him one game and if it happens again then you make an example of him or any other player.

just an opinion

I was new to the league this year. I was out to have a good time and release some energy from a hectic work week. During our first game of the season I tore my ACL in the second half of our game. Anyone who has had this injury knows how painful this can be after it happens. I was laying on the ground and #44 stood over top of me and asked me what was wrong. i told him i tore my ACL and he asked me how i know. I responded that i am a doctor...believe me I know. He proceeded to pull his shorts down half way and tell me that "I heard if you piss on it you will feel much better". he then proceeded to laugh.

I have read alot of these email defending him (D ray) saying he is a "classy guy". Define classy....does this sound like a classy guy to you? I never reported this because I have better things to do with my time....prepare for surgery...rehab...and work an 80 hour work week taking care of your families when they come in the hospital.

4 game suspension...should be alot longer in my opinion. We play this because we want to go out and have a good time. Our families and friends come out to cheer us on. Every week our kids are on the sideline wanting to be just like us. And we are giving them the impression that these actions are acceptable.

If you throw a punch...your done...for good. Thats my opinion

First of all you must not have been there because He never threw a punch. I on the other hand was standing right next to him and saw everything. He reached out and grabed Pete then Pete threw a punch @ him and missed then it got broken up right after that. Anyone who wants can respond to this but like I said I was standing two feet away so i'm pretty sure I know what I saw. I'm so sick of everyone saying they saw something but they were not even close to the action. I think that Dan was definatly out of line but he did not deserve what he got for this being his first time ever getting in trouble with the league. As for the coment the player got hurt made I also was standing right there when he said that and he was definatly just jokeing. Dan dislocated his shouilder three seasons ago in a pre season scrimage that put him out for the whole season so, I know that he does not think that an injury like yours is funny.

You can say what you want about the teams record...I don;t care. I played for half a game this season. You are right...I don't know you. Phil....I am not bitter about getting hurt. dRay had nothing to do with me getting hurt. It was a fluke thing. Remember this happened in week 1. if i was bitter about this i would have said something the week it happened. Again...i do not know your guy that well but the experiance i had with him was less than good. There are times to be funny and there are times to be serious. I am one of the coaches for DP's. This is the first I am hearing about this incident in week one. Scott, I wish you would have told us sooner. I will look into this with the people that were helping you off to the sidelines after the play.

As far as the incident that happened after the Shockers game, i was not there so i can not comment on it. I have alot of respect for Dan's team. They helped us out last year when we were a first year team with Code Orange and they have helped us out with pointers this year with DP's. Their team plays hard and they are a good group of guys.

As far as the incident in week 1 I will look into it. If what Scott is saying is true and these remarks were made then there is a problem. Joking or not joking it is NEVER a funny situation when a player is down on the field with an injury. We all know that player could be us very easily. We all have full time jobs during the week and an injury that serious is no joking matter if it keeps us out of work and we ave to pay money out in medical bills. Every week I see people post on here good luck in the games and have a healthy season. That is showing good sportmanship. If these remarks were made then that is a problem because those comments are not only unsportsmanlike but should not be tolerated.

Frank, i will look into this and get back to you. If these comments are true then something should be done because thats just not acceptable.

I know I’m probably the last person who should be chiming in here but I kind of feel like this current Dan Raymond pile on is a little much. First let me say that I’ve played with both Dan and Phil a few years back and found them both to be great teammates, especially Dan. Not only were we competitive Dan made sure we had a good time, I know Mark would vouch for this too. My point is, in those two seasons I never once saw a “thug” side to Dan and I think that labeling is unjust. To the DP’s player, if Dan did say that to you I’m sure he was trying to make you laugh to take your mind off your injury but at the same time I wasn’t there. Only the parties involved know the real deal. As for the Shockers/Deloreys game last week it was easily one the ugliest things I’ve ever been a part of and I‘ve played in this league for awhile. And I’m not only talking about the end of the game, there was stuff going on all game from both sides. We all need to realize that there are others watching especially young people and we were all (including fans) terrible examples that day. It would be great to see two good squads like Deloreys and the Shockers show up and be able to play a clean, hard game. Phil I know we talked before the game about good sportsmanship and control and I’m sorry it didn’t turn out that way. I wish it all didn’t go down like it did, but it is what it is. I’m not going to comment on the suspensions handed out by Frank because it doesn’t matter what I think. Deloreys is a good team and I have a lot of respect for you guys, good luck the rest of the way.

I toataly agree Pete. I can tell you for sure that things just got out of hand to fast. You've been playing for a long time as I have and sometimes your emotions just get the best of you. It happens to even the best of us. I hope we all can still get along and put this all behind us. Not asking u to forget but to forgive, and on behalf of me & my whole team we sincerily appolagize to you, your family, and your whole team!!!! Good luck the rest of the season. Just a side note I thought the Growlers showed a lot of class this week in our game knowing the circumstances in that we were still pretty emotional about loosing one of our best players @ such a crutial time in our season so, hats off to you guys for not using it to your atvantage and playing a great game.
