I have been in the collision repair industry for 23 years now. 15 years primarily paint w/some body, then body only for 3 years, and the past 5 years lead frame and structural repair tech in a larger facility (20'000 sq ft 2.5 mil. annual net). Three years of that 1st 15 was spent managing a privtely owned Carstar facility that has sinse then gone corprate. I am a second generation Body Man with all the I-car,ASE,Cheif,and other misc.training any human could endure to go through. My last insurence appraisal of the tools I provide in the work place was $45,000. Presently my assignments are all $8,000 and up ("freight train wrecks").
Who hires these pencil neck college boy insurence adjusters that wattle into my work area telling me how easy it is to fix "real" collision. They want to pay us to 1/2 fix it, and allow us to accept all of the liability. I know there just trying to save their company a few bucks but the biggest companies are the least respectful of the few real craftsmen left in the industry.
It makes me want to just get out!!!

the people looking at the cars for the insurance companys ,are losers that will do anything not to go back to work managing a shop or working in it.they are lazy people and liars .nationwide even trains them to be low life scum,so treat them like they treat you,and make them have a bad day for once.

Do you really think it's fair to lump all adjusters and all insurance companies into the same group? After all, your own organization rates all the companies they deal with and they certainly noticed some differences. Maybe I would take the criticism better if you could actually spell the word "insurance" correctly.
