Forum Members,
I work for a company that administers an IRS approved accountable plan that enables employees in an auto body shop, who use their own tools as condition of employment, to receive tax relief. The employer benefits by cutting his payroll tax by up to 30%, the employee gets to receive about 3-5 more paychecks per year, tax free.
This program is applicable in automotive, marine, truck, and aviation industry where Service Technicans are required to use their own tools as condition of employment.
My question to you is, do auto body shop employees have to invest in their own tools as condition of employment? If so, is the value of tools owned anywhere from $2000-$5000 or more?
If your answer is yes, I would like to inform your forum on how an IRS approved accountable plan will allow body shop employees receive the tax relief they are legally entitled to receive.
