Arriving at Lake Amador just before the sun have set into the horizon, my friend Vung and took out our fishing tackle and baited our hooks. "You are not gonna catch a bass fishing like that." I told my friend Vung, referring to his bass worm hook baited with a Canadian Night Crawler without any kind of weight. "Watch me Dung I will and when I do you call me Uncle." Vung replied I agreed on the condition who ever catch the first bass will be called uncle. After fishing for appox 7-10 mins. The line that Vung casted out began to move. "ahhh" exclaimed Vung as he set the hook. The 6 feet pole that he was fish with began to dance. The fish went up to the surface and came splashing down. As the fish got closer to the shore we relized what it was a huge catfish. The size of my leg. "grab the fish Dung" Vung said too me, my response was,"Wait untill it get tired" After fighting the fish for about 3 minutes, the enormous catfish surrender to us. I grabbed it by the mouth and lifted it out of the water. Holding the fish by the mouth it saw that it lenth strecth from the ground to my hips, I would said it to be 28-30 inches and weight about 10 pounds. After the exciting ordeal we place the fish into the bucket and began our hunt for more and larger catfish at other location leaving the catfish next to our tackle box. After 30 of fishing Vung came to ma and said, "Aye my fish got stolen,""what?" I replied" are you sure?" "Yeah fool, some hicks went down and swiped when I wasn't looking and threw the bucket in the bushes." At first I didnt believed him but as we walk back to the car, I saw the bucket and knew Vung wasn't kidding. What luck, finally when we caught a fish some one had to steal it.....people these days.

What's up "D" and "V"? Or anyone that happens to read this message. I've only fished for trout at Amador. But I sure would like to take the kids out there for an overnight camping catfish trip. Were are the catfish spots? Preferably over by the camp sights.
Thanks
