As some of you know, down in my neck of the woods -- The State Legislature of Louisiana is attempting to BAN ALL "pit bull dogs" throughout the state.
Specific Breeds they are attempting to ban are the American Staffordshire Terrier, American Bulldog, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and Bull Terrier.
The proposed legislation also seeks to ban any dog deemed "one quarter" of the above breeds.
I am trying to organize a fight against this legislation -- But unlike local muncipal ordinances this is STATEWIDE, thus the fight requires opposition from THOUSANDS of people.
I spent a few hours tonight starting to design a web page offering information and points of contact -- Please be patient it is in its infancy. However, I need your help. Any advice, further points of contact, articles, email lists, basically ANYTHING and any advice you can give me would be appreciated. I am new to a movement of this size and I could use some sound advice.
