I am looking for the name of a lead singer who was in the Broadway cast until it closed. She has an absolutely clear and beautiful voice. She then had a special 2 to 4 years ago on TV right around Christmas. She also sang a special song about 9/11 on the show. I believe her husband is a director.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure about which 'lead singer' being reffered to. It could be Linda Balgord. There's also the possibility of Betty Buckley being the one in question here....except she was on the original Broadway cast, not the final Broadway cast.
It sounds as tho it might be Marlene Danielle who was a member of the cast for the entire time it was on BWay, she danced Bombalurina. If I remember correctly, she sang with a orchestra that did Christmas concerts (it has Siberian/Siberia in the name, I can't think of it off hand tho)and I can well imagine her doing a song about 9/11
She has a remarkable voice and is a remarkable person
First I want to thank everyone for the helpful replies. I have searched through Google and I am nearly convinced that the lady I was searching for is Sarah Brightman. It is good to see how folks can be so nice to a stranger.
