Looking for Singer

I am looking for the name of a lead singer who was in the Broadway cast until it closed. She has an absolutely clear and beautiful voice. She then had a special 2 to 4 years ago on TV right around Christmas. She also sang a special song about 9/11 on the show. I believe her husband is a director.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, Sarah Brightman was in the original cast of the London production. She was never on Broadway.

Here's a list of the final Broadway cast:

Alonzo ~ Lenny Daniel
Asparagus / Growltiger / Bustopher Jones ~ John Dewar
Bombalurina ~ Marlene Danielle
Cassandra ~ Melissa Rae Mahon
Coricopat ~ Billy Johnstone
Demeter ~ Gayle Holsman
Grizabella ~ Linda Balgord
Jellylorum / Griddlebone ~ Jean Arbeiter
Jennyanydots ~ Sharon Wheatley
Mistoffelees ~ Julius Sermonia
Mungojerrie ~ Roger Kachel
Munkustrap ~ Jeffry Denman
Old Deuteronomy ~ Jimmy Lockett
Plato / Macavity / Rumpus Cat ~ Keith Edward Wilson
Pouncival ~ Jon-Erik Goldberg
Rum Tum Tugger ~ Stephen Bienske
Rumpleteazer ~ Maria Jo Ralabate
Sillabub ~ Jessica Dillan
Skimbleshanks ~ James Hadley
Tantomile ~ Amy Hamel
Tumblebrutus ~ Patrick Mullaney
Victoria ~ Melissa Hathway

Cats Chorus :

Joel Briel
Susan Somerville
Heidi Stallings
Kurt von Schmittou

Swings:

Jonathan Taylor
Matthew Vargo
Suzanne Viverito
Billy Sprague Jr.
Larissa Thurston
Tamera Shepherd
Angel Caban
Craig Waletzko
Sally Ann Swarm

I'm not sure about which 'lead singer' being reffered to. It could be Linda Balgord. There's also the possibility of Betty Buckley being the one in question here....except she was on the original Broadway cast, not the final Broadway cast.

I think I know who you might be looking for

It sounds as tho it might be Marlene Danielle who was a member of the cast for the entire time it was on BWay, she danced Bombalurina. If I remember correctly, she sang with a orchestra that did Christmas concerts (it has Siberian/Siberia in the name, I can't think of it off hand tho)and I can well imagine her doing a song about 9/11

She has a remarkable voice and is a remarkable person

Thank you!

First I want to thank everyone for the helpful replies. I have searched through Google and I am nearly convinced that the lady I was searching for is Sarah Brightman. It is good to see how folks can be so nice to a stranger.
