Year of Monkey !!!

Today (22nd) is the first day of our Chinese New Year,
year of the Monkey.

It is considered to be a fairy good year to born into.
So most of the youngsters plan to get marry right away
and have the baby at the end of the Monkey year.

Also, according to our Lunar Year Calendar, we'd have 2 Fabruarys this year...call a "Leap Year", we have it every 4 year.
When come to that, there'd be 29 days in Feb., so for those who are born on the 29th, sorry, they'd have their birthdays every 4 year.

my mom & dad are monkey!

There's an old saying among the Chinese legends.....
"It is a lucky house if it hosts more than one Monkey.."....

Like I said...Monkey is a fairy good year to born into....
I have 2 too...my husband and daughter.

First the youngest...
My niece who is 12.
My step-nephew... 24
My daughter.... 36
My brother-in-law (father of the youngest Monkey)... 48
The other member of the families.... 60

So, you see, we have 5 Monkeys !!!

if you look at the ages in your family, they're 12 years apart. Cool!

The Chinese Zodic is formed by 12 creatures, which means 12 years makes a cycle.

For example...You and I are both Boar so we are 12 or 24 years apart.. hehe
