"Please turn off cell phones and pagers," the voice appeals, "and enjoy the show!". The lights begin to dim. The kids are wide-eyed and squirming in anticipation. A little voice somewhere in the back, begins to sing 'Skimbleshanks...the Railway Cat....'
Now it is completely black in the theater....and those first BOOMING notes are played, rocking us all back in our seats. Soon the floodlight array is hovering over the misty stage......and the show begins......!
Ya'll know what I mean! I'm THERE! Tomorrow...and for three shows. Here in Sarasota!
While Stephanie Lang, from the Broadway Cast, opens another community production of CATS, tomorrow, just outside of Dayton. Her last production....the best I've ever seen....was in Crossville TN. Littlgriz and GingerKitty and I were spellbound!!!
Spellbound? Read my report and see the entire show here:

The bearded fellow with Littlgriz is Jim Crabtree, the genius. Stephanie Lang is at the end....accepting praise for her success, with an unbelievable run in Crossville.
Anyone seeing CATS here in Fla., tomorrow or Thurs., lemme know.
Ah, for the lack of funds stay I in Caleefornia...
I know that is a horrible misspeak of a good line, but the above quote is the situation... I have to problably wait for the tour to come back to the "Golden" State - sometime around the first of the year...
But - you go right ahead and enjoy it for the rest of us... If any one of us who enjoys the show were in your shoes, thongs, flip-flops, sneakers, sandals...etc... we would be there right along with you...
My Mom and my Aunt and I went and it was great!!! I know just what you mean about the beginning, when all the cats come out. I am 5 years old and I love the cats. My most favorite is Macavity. I always pretend my sister Jessy is Bombalurina!
