Hey, there~

So, you want to know what the Disney auditions are like. Here goes. First off, if you'd like to check the website to find out dates and times, it's www.disneycareers.com. The monthly auditions for Disney are usually the 3rd Friday of every month and are held over at the Animal Kingdom rehearsal studios. For the dance audition, the first thing you'll learn is a ballet combination. If you make it through that cut, you'll learn a jazz combination. And if you make it past that, you'll learn more of the combination and then hopefully get measured and have a polaroid picture taken. The dancer auditions usually start at 9am. The singer call starts around 1pm and you have to sign up for that and is a first come first serve kind of thing. Just prepare whatever you're comfortable singing: preferably musical theater. If you're planning on singing something from a Disney movie or Broadway show, just make sure you're really good. Nothing worse than hearing a horrible rendition of "A Whole New World" over and over and over again from the auditioners.

I hope that helps a bit. Check out the website and that may answer your questions.

Take care!

Keith

Hey, there~

I'm not sure what hours the college program offers. But if you're auditioning for entertainment at Disney and are cast in a show, the hours are set to 40 hours a week if you're full-time. Not sure what the people who do characters are offered and I definitely don't know anything about what anyone else in the parks does. Maybe there's a bit about the college program on that Disney website? I haven't checked it out so I don't know.

Let me know when you're here and hopefully we can meet up somewhere either on or off Disney property.

Take care,

Keith

Something drew me to click on the links in this message....and now I'm grateful I did...
May I add my thanks as well? I have toyed with the idea of eventually going to audition for Disney for somewhere around 5-7 years. The only reason I haven't done so yet is because I wanted to get my degree first and also I have too many emotional ties to home that I need to work through first. Perhaps someday relatively soon we will all be co-workers
