Hi all, I wanted to show you a pix of our new kitten. We weren't looking for one at the time, but a lady at a pet store near us was telling me that she has a kitten she had to get rid of. I started feeling sorry for the kitten, and the next thing you know we're on our way home with a new kitten.

When we walked into her home to see him I knew right away this was no coincidence. He took right to us, and we to him. He's black and white something like our Misto was. Shawn didn't want to call him Misto so we threw some names at him, but he didn't like any of them. Than all of a sudden he said Quaxo, and we knew that was the right name he even responded to it right away.

Sorry I'm so late posted this pix, we've been in and out of town. Quaxo is now 4 months, here's a link to the pix.

That first link worked fine, just had a little chunk of code stuck in it.

Quaxo's Pix
... will hopefully do it.

Anyways - Quaxo looks gorgeous, and it sounds truly beautiful the way you three found eachother. Some souls are meant to be together.

hoping you three all the best Much catnip, purrs, and delightful-to-watch kitten snoozing.

as long as we're posting kitten pictures...

I wasn't going to do this, and not to steal your thunder but since you menntioned it,...I also have a new kitten about the same age as yours. I got him about two weeks ago at the local humane society. I've wanted a cat for several years now but my parents always said no because we had a dog. Well I've had a really hard time with stuff lately, and I asked my dad again a couple of months ago if I could have one and he decided since our dog is old, and mostly an outdoor dog, that it would be ok...just had to wait til the semester was over.

I've never actually had a cat before, since I was raised with dogs, but our neighbor has about 5 cats, and I had gotten attached to one of hers.

I was supposed to get him on a monday because I was going out of town the previous weekend, but my uncle was killed in an accident that week, so I cancelled my trip. We went ahead and got the kitten to take my mind of things.

When I went to the shelter, they had about 40 kittens, mostly 6-8 weeks old. Then I saw an orange and white one, slightly older. Everytime I went by him he'd cry and stick both of his paws out of the cage. It didn't take long to make my choice. I named him Simon. He's a little playful at this age, but over all he's very mild mannered. He lets me pick him up when he's eating, and he actually likes to have his stomach rubbed. He's also very affectionate, but he thinks he has to groom me so I'm often wiping cat spit off my face. lol...he's a little bit like a dog. Anyway, I guess he looks a bit like Skimbleshanks. The vet says he's going to be big. He's already about 5 pounds and I wouldnt be surprised if he's close to 20 lbs by the time he's full grown.

not a problem haven't used network54 boards for quite a while myself, so I wasn't sure if they still allowed html linking.

if you'd like, the code is as follows:
(a href="http://catsabouttown.50megs.com/MistoPhotoAlbum/Quaxo's%20pix.html")Quaxo's Pix(/a) with <'s for ('s, etc. It looks like you tried to do that, but there was a syntax hiccup somewhere. Dun worry bout it, the board should also still support plain url linking http://catsabouttown.50megs.com/MistoPhotoAlbum/Quaxo's%20pix.html <- just make sure you include the %20 when there's a space in the file name and don't let any punctuation append itself to the ends
