Hi All!!!

Well, been a while, but i am now in Manchester england, where it is exceptiontly windy and wet and altogether cold, but really awsome!!! The last couple of months have been so hectic, and am still struggling with the fatigue even now. i managed to get to germany, austria, czech republic, hungary, denmark, sweden, norway, france, switzerland and italy in the space of 10 weeks!!! had a great time in london for 2 weeks and managed to see Chicago, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Phantom. The half price ticket booth is my friend!!!

I got to manchester last week, just in time to catch the last peformance of CATS here, and it was so much fun!! Didnt realised how much i missed it. hehehe. wasnt quite sure about the ballad of billy mcaw, but probably just because was quite a suprise as unexpected. infact, have done something rather foolish just then, and bought a ticket for the Liverpool performance tommorrow afternoon. have no idea how i'm going to get there, or where the theatre is, but hopefully i wont die!! am thinking is only about 1 hour on the train. we shall see...

so, anyone who might live inthe area, send me a buzz. id love to meet ya, or if you're interested, have someone to see Jesus christ superstar, starlight express and kiss me kate with in the coming months.

Seeing all the shows we dream of seeing??? Winging it across the Isle spontaneously, on a whim with a Cats ticket in hand???? Asking to meet up with all interested???? Outgoing?? Worldly?? How did you enjoy the show in Liverpool then? I went to see it on monday, this tuesday and last tuesday (although the tuesdays involve me standing at the back of the theatre providing first aid cover), and I will be going on friday and possibly the last show on thursday. Hey when it's close by might as well make the most of it, lol.

So what are you studying in Manchester? I'm at Liverpool uni studying biology, and unfortunately I can relate to the no internet crisis, hehe. We havent got broadband in the student house yet, so I've nipped home to use the internet (and pick some stuff up that I forgot, but it's still quite sad, hehe).

Liverpool report

September 23 2004, 6:21 AM

Hey!!

Yeah, i had a great day yesterday!!! Managed to make it to Liverpool without getting lost, and theatre right next door!! Didnt get home till late, as am cheap and bought the cheapest day return which meant i couldnt leave till after 6. Am still very confused about the train system here!!

The show was wonderful. not a full house, and i had a great but scary seat. was in the second row on the aisle, but there was no one else in my section, so i felt like the right fool. I still dont like the orchestrial changes to Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer, and got a good example of when the cartwheels go wrong. Lee Lomas was on as Mungo, and i think hes just too tall fot little Laura. But if you hadnt known how it was ment to look you wouldnt have noticed. was a great save, as you could tell it was doomed from the start! Am starting to like the Ballad of Billy McCaw. Is kinda cute. Now have secret crush on Richard Peakman's Alonzo... so gorgeous *sigh*, and those two male kittens make me laugh so much! Had exceptionatly paranoid Demeter, she's great, and notice she spent the whole of Bustopher Jones looking at were Grizabella had gone, looking most distressed!

Was awsome, realised how much i've missed it!!! Am trying to talk myself out of doing another spur of the moment dash to Liverpool next thursday. dunno if my funds will cope!!

Am here as an exchange student at Man Met, studying law. I'm also a Biology major at home, but they would only let me do the one degree over here. Am only here until December, so will miss the really awful weather!! (does it EVER stop raining???!!!!!!!!!)

At the moment am using internet cafe. good old university admin cant get me access to the library till next week aparently... good to see universities are just as useless here as they are at home!!!

catchya round!!

Yeh know what you mean about Lee Lomas, my heart was in my mouth with the cartwheels. He's fantastic as Coricopat though. Richard Peakman is cool, he's improved so much since I first saw him, and I loved how Demeter watched Grizabella too. Every time I see it I think of another angle to the musical. I love Nick Greenfields too, very very tall though, hehe.

Lol, if you do get round to going on thursday (last show isnt it, i think?) let me know coz I'm thinking of going (I just hope my student loan comes through soon, *is broke*).

It does stop raining some times, unfortunately not that often, autumn is usually really wet and windy, and strangely enough my favourite season (I think I've been here too long, lol).

Yep, universities are useless, mine hasn't given me any info about what to do when term starts. Oh well, Freshers Fair today so I have to go and help out with the LINKS stall (and also grab as many freebies as I can carry, hehe)

Hope you get on alright with your course etc.

I got to see Cats on the Wednesday but not the thursday I managed to double book myself, and had to go to a meeting instead of going to Cats, oh well.

Lol, freebies, they're brilliant. I must admit I managed to grab some bits and bobs while I was at the freshers fair. But now it's back to lectures and carrying around obscenly heavy books, I'm sure I'm gonna get a hernia or something, lol.

Anyway enjoy uni

Liverpool Cats

October 2 2004, 9:46 AM

Hi, I went to see cats on the last night in Liverpool. It was amazing!
The two male kittens, Bill Bailey and Carbucketty were so cute! Carbucketty decided to give me a 'cat hug' a huge smile towards the end. I also got loads of autographs-including Nic Greenshield's(he is absolutely huge!) and Laura Brydon's(She was shocked I knew she was Rumpelteazer out of make-up).
It was a brilliant last night and I can't wait for them to come back to Liverpool
