A lay there in my bed as crashes and explosions sound in the living room, I just ignored it, as if it wasn't happening. I peeked out of my bed's quilt to see a chair being thrown half-way across the living room onto the hearth. My parents were out, my sister was sound asleep, and I was listening that night
I woke up to see the living room as if it were hit by a holocaust. My parents came back that morning. They saw me sitting in the middle of the wrecked living room. "What happened?!?!" asked my horrified parents. I replied "... Maybe it was a ghost?"
Every night after the incident, I would always see a "thing" staring at me from my closet... I thought the nightmare was over. It wasn't.
It attacked our dogs, but didn't harm them. It attacked my sister and scratched her face, it attacked my parents, and knocked them out cold. Then... It came after me...
I slept with my covers over my head. I heared the closet door open and I quickly shone a hidden flashlight in the closet, making the creature retreat a bit into the closet.
I finally got up, put my hand on the barely opened closet door and whispered "I don't beleive in you..." and shut the door. Ever since then I haven't seen the "thing" again...

Umm... Oh, ya! I might be going to Biloxi in July to see CATS insted of Tampa!
This is a "nice" introduction to a story... In certain cases, a few sentences arranged in isolated paragraphs could be counted as a Preface...
The problem I truly see is that this is a CATS Forum - a place to talk about the Musical. Although you placed an announcement of seeing CATS, the majority of the posting is this story - which does not seem to be a CATS fanfiction at all... My suggestion is to either go to the FanFic Board (See the links above - far right end...) and place the story there. OR, go to FF7... Either way, this Forum is not for posting stories...
I really liked your story. A lot. I wanted to read more and more. You have a flare for keeping the reader interested! I call books written like that PAGE-TURNERS, because, you want to!
Please write more! But, I agree with Rumblepurr, keep it CATS-related here.
How about using your unique writing style to tell us about one of your real-life CATS experiences!
