I remember hearing that for a while Munkustrap was more around Cassandra because the two of them were actually going together. I also know that he was not with Demeter this time - since Alonzo wins her after the fight...

Book One - The Jellicle Ball
This is going to sound strange to you, but I really have no idea about who was paired with who or a lot of the background of the characters in the show. I know that when I was learning the show in Germany and in New York, I was given a short character background on Plato, Macavity and Rumpuscat. That was about it. I have a feeling that there are more people on this site or other sites that would know more of what you need to know than I do. Kind of sad that I don't know the answers, but for me, I just had fun doing the show and figuring out things for myself.

Thanks for getting back to me on this... I guess in many ways, the pairing probably varied practically from performance to performance.
