Real name John Camp. Just finished his latest 'Kidd' novel. Man, this guy is right up there, excellent execution, servile plotting, intricate character sketching and not much BS. His books are a horse race, just hang on like mad and run til you see the wire. He's like Ridley Pearson, one of the best in the drama/crime genre.

The new book is still only in hardbound, called The Hanged Mans Son. Kidd is his computer hacker theif extrordinaire character, a guy who usually rides with right on his side. Hes only written 4 Kidd novels but there have been a tremendous amount of Prey novels too, all called Silent Prey, Winter Prey etc..., all equally as good. Oddly, his published novels under his real name "Camp", arent as popular, although again, equally as good. If you like this genre and haven't read this guy, well there you go, Merry Christmas.

I've read a bunch of the Prey books and liked every one of 'em.

I'm big on writing style. It has to be just so or I can't get into the story. Sanford's style is easy on my eyes.

If you like John Sanford, you'll like Ridley Pearson. I honestly couldn't choose between them and they write very similar kind of novels so genre preferences can't even distinguish them. I think Pearson may be just a tad more cerebral but then I could be talking out my butt.
