I expect this kind of question is asked a lot (my apologies for posting it), but I need suggestions for a good shoot 'em up. What I'm really looking for is a vertical scroller (probably set in space) with plenty of action, good responsive controls, but no long boring death sequence. I just want something to let loose with - something really playable.
