Reminds Me...

by BigfootHunter (Bobby Hamilton)

Of a time several years ago, when I did and outing, and a guy from another group joined us for the weekend. Myself and the two other members who were with me were spraying down our legs and all the way up to our arm pits really heavily with OFF, and I offered it to him, to keep the chiggers off. But, I was shown a little pump spray bottle of some kind of fancy stuff that was supposed to be some kind of repellent, and a little squirt around his waist area and then I was told that he was ready to go. I tried to tell this cat that he would be much better off using the off and coating his legs real good or he would get eat up, but he knew better. Oh well, I didn't know anything. So, I whispered to one of the guys in our group, "This cat is going to be sorry, for not using this OFF, I guess he ain't never been off the pavement before to know any better"! LOL!

Anyway, the weekend came to an end and then a couple of days later I got a call and a frantic person asking me what was all these red welts that were all over their body that was itching like crazy, and how could they get rid of them. As I was told, they were covered from head to toe with these things and they were going nuts from all the itching and couldn't get it to stop. LOL!

Bottom line, if you go into unfamiliar territory and somebody tries to offer you some advice, unless it is something that is obviously dangerous to your health, then don't act like a know it all. You might be better off listening and taking the advice for a change. I know this cat sure wished he would have listened to me and done as I suggested that first day of that weekend.
