Pete announced last week that he has signed a book deal to publish his diaries. Orion Publishing Group have bought the world rights (in a deal reported to be worth in the region of £150,000) and will publish 20 volumes of Pete's poetry, drawings, lyrics, film reviews and personal reflections in one hardback book around March 2007. The launch took place at The Boogaloo pub in Highgate, north London - although Pete wasn't there in person, he said in a statement:
"I am very happy to have a book coming out with Orion and to share a bookshelf with H G Wells, Ian Rankin and Stan Bowles. I've always wanted to have a book published and it's all very exciting for me personally. Vaya Con Dios."
