A happy ending to my infertility curse

November 19 2004 at 12:16 PM
Beti

I havn't been here for a while. This is to all of those who go through all of this with no success. I tried clomid, IUI and glucophage for about a year. I had a laproscopy and found that the end of my tubes were deformed. The little hair-like things that help the egg along, There was only a 5% change of ever conceiving on my own(I don't do well on any chance uner 85%-on anything). I went to look into Invetro, I went to the first consultation. Something snapped. I decided I cound not do any more of this. I had evough failed attempts at everything. I just gave up on all that. My husband and I decided to get into fostering and possibly adopt from there. There was only one other family in the county who would take teens. Since we seem to attract them, we decided to go ahead and accept teens, since I didn't know if I could emotionally handle a baby who may have to go back into an abusive home. To cut to the chase, we now have two gorgeous native american boys as sons. I seems that we were blessed after all. They are ours now 17 and 15. We also deal with mood disorders and attachment disorder children as well. For the most part, I feel that we have made a difference. It is not always easy, but I feel that I now have my place in the scheme of life. Thanks for listening and good luck to all.
