Response to In my experience...

...are a necessity in relationships, D/s or vanilla. In the situations described, there's a level of communication and honesty that is required and somewhat short of what is needed.

If a relationship is what is desired, the need exists to evaluate if the relationship or the person is more important...and if the latter is true, it is a true relationship, whereas when the former is the case, most times it's more a facade maintained for internal vanity and barbie dreams.

There's a level of trust that must exist before a true D/s power exchange...without the trust, merely running in and serving, is again little more than a charade, showing what is fashionable or desired rather than what is true. This will rarely result in true emotion filling the empty space between serves, more often ending in disappointment and quasi-heartbreak for those involved, holding to a relationship built on dreams...but a foundation must exist...and that foundation needs to be a bit more than redi-whip and fluffy white clouds.

I've seen this a number of times, and in all honesty have been tied into a few of such...

Good thread to choose...thank You both...*nods and smiles*
