Response to After a long time away...WDT - Where is the Sex?

I could very easily see a new splinter group forming as my mind processed the words of the author. The “old school” BDSM – It’s all about control. And a new age BDSM – It’s all about sex! (smile)

I will confess I had the same thought the first time I read a BDSM manual. “WHAT NOT ABOUT SEX?!?!” But I read on. I contemplated each new lesson and begin to see what the “manual” was telling me. I understood the release and control part of BDSM, and I do enjoy it, but I have never let the sex get away from me.

The statement “control reproduction, control the species.” is a true statement. Farmers and Zoologist have known this for centuries. But I don’t think it necessarily applies here. I would doubt very seriously if anyone every looked at the lifestyle of BDSM and decided to introduce reproduction controls into it, just to “weed out” this behavior in a society. I would come closer to believing that a male at some point in the past put that in just to convince a female to give it a try. (Grin)

Sex is an absolutely wonderful thing. It can simply give physical release, or it can draw human beings closer together. The only advise I have ever considered “golden” regarding sex is this. Never use sex. It is not a tool and it is not a weapon. It is something to be enjoyed and cherished.

Enjoy life…
