I think Mistress Steel is trying to poke fun at those who are so busy saying "it's not all about the sex" and are absurdly going so far as to say...let's have BDSM w/out the sex so that we kill these stereotypes.
Well let's face it...the sex is great. Kinky sex, sex based on power exchange, sexual charge from giving up control of the most intimate facets of your life, and taking control of the most intimate facets of someone's life...it's all there. It's all mixed in.
So I think what she is trying to say is...enjoy the kinky sex. It's great! It's natural...it's a part of the lifestyle.
But I know enough from her other writings to know that she is far from suggesting that there is nothing to it but ropes and butt plugs and controlled orgasms.
