The Richard Mille cases are depth tested at two levels, at the maximum and then at the shallow range. Strangely enough, high pressure testing can ‘seal’ the case shut, giving it a higher rating than realistic. In shallow water, the various parts are not being ‘pressed’ into each other, and a leakage might be the result. Sand-blasted titanium through to diamond encrusted platinum all go through the same depth rating.
