by Wayne (australia)

Is the reverse lockout suppose to work on the floor auto shifter? or was this not a option yet in 70?

5.0 Help!!!!!

by

I have a 5.0 88 GT and I just changed my spark plugs from champions to Bosch 4+ and the damn car wont start. Do I need a Hi Performace distributor or what do I need to do. If I do get it to start I have to make the fuel mixture rich and then lean it out so the engine is not racing. Any information would be greatly appreciated

Re: heater core

by

Heater core is in front of the passenger under the dash in the "heater box" it contains the AC condenser also. Pull the front seats out for room, pull the center console out and drop the steering column by undoing 2 nuts on the bracket. Undo every 7mm/8mm (mostly) bolt on the dash and gage cluster. (when removing the gage cluster be sure to unplug the switches and SPEEDOMETER CABLE! take dash out and open heater box. Go under the hood and disconnect the coolant hoses from the two studs. Remove the old heater core from the box and replace it. work backwards from there. this is not very detailed but i hope it helps.

ISO Memorabilia for Mustang book

by

Hello,

I'm a researcher for becker&mayer!, a book producer in the Seattle area. I’m currently beginning research for a book about Mustangs, which is to include removable reproductions of Mustang memorabilia. I was hoping someone here could refer me to any enthusiast or other source that you think might have memorabilia to offer for the project. Any kind of scannable documents related to Mustangs -- racing memorabilia, mustang history, award certificates, prize money receipts, race tickets, old rulebooks, blueprints, internal Ford memos, personal memos of racers, test drivers, important designers, etc. -- that sort of thing, and the older the better in most cases (though we might use some recent stuff too).

Any help you can offer would be much appreciated. Anyone who has material that we can reproduce for use in the book will be credited as the source, fairly compensated for its use, and receive a complimentary copy of The Mustang Vault when it comes out next year.

Many thanks!

Head Rest

by

Hello,
I have a 03 standard mustang coupe. The head rests do not have any button where I can take out the head rest from the seat like other cars. Does anyone has any idea for me to take out the head rest?

Thanks so much,
Thomas

header fitment chart, engine clearance chart, non-stock seats

by MackMan

I created a few databases that have good data from actual users about header fitment, hood clearance issues (i.e. what setups work and what can cause hood issues). And last is a seats database for non-stock seats that go in the classics. Feel free to check out the databases and add your own combo's where it's appropriate. I am proud of the site because it is real-world data from users.

How to Lower Auto Insurance Costs

by jendz

Hello guys im jend just wanna how much your saving for your car insurance? or does anyone have tired one of these tips, does it work/s for you?

Suggested Tips to Lower Your Auto Insurance Costs

1. Prices vary from company to company, so it pays to shop around. Get at least three price quotes.

2. You buy insurance to protect you financially and provide peace of mind. It's important to pick a company that is financially stable.

3. Don't shop price alone. Ask friends and relatives for their recommendations. Contact your state insurance department to find out whether they provide information on consumer complaints by company.

4. Before you buy a new or used car, check into insurance costs. Car insurance premiums are based in part on the car’s sticker price, the cost to repair it, its overall safety record, and the likelihood of theft.

5. Establishing a solid credit history can cut your insurance costs. Insurers are increasingly using credit information to price auto insurance policies. To protect your credit standing, pay your bills on time, don't obtain more credit than you need and keep your credit balances as low as possible.

6. Companies offer discounts to policyholders who have not had any accidents or moving violations for a number of years. You may also get a discount if you take a defensive driving course. If there is a young driver on the policy who is a good student, has taken a drivers education course or is at a college out of the area without a car, you may also qualify for a lower rate. 66 Mustang convertible motor problems

by

I have a 1966 Mustang convertible (6 cyl). The top motor started getting sluggish a few months ago. The other day the motor could hardly push the top up. I suspected the motor may need hydraulic fluid. I removed the rear seat, located the motor, but don't know where the fluid tank is located. I guess my question is this: Do I need more fluid? Is there a filter that needs to be cleaned periodically? Do I need to bleed the line? Is there another reason for my problem?

I also need to get a new top. Any suggestions as to buying one premade or having one made by a local shop?

Any help anyone can offer will be appreciated
