Another fine example of playoff lax, Chiefs & Indians..

There was some concern expressed on this forum that the Burlington Chiefs were putting on quite a show but the support for the product was not quite there. Well, the same could not be said tonight as the ole barn had a very good crowd, with 30 minors on the floor between periods dreaming of scoring the big one, and plenty more in the crowd. Of course the Chiefs and Indians did not disappoint and put on another fine display, not even GM Glen's announcement that game two would be replayed could dampen the spirit of the fans, with the Chiefs leading wire to wire and taking a 3-2 series lead.

The TSN turning point came late in the 2nd when the Chiefs incurred a 4 minute penalty and killed it off with no damage done, and the last 90 seconds killed off in Akwesasne's end with some textbook ragging of the ball. No one will ever accuse the Oakville/Burlington crowd of "going crazy", but the fans did show their appreciation with lots of claps and cheers, and not even a very late goal in the second by the visitors could swing the momentum their way. In the third it just never looked like it would get away from the Chiefs, and they did a great job defensively as the Indians pulled their goalie on a few attacks, but all for naught.

Can the Indians win on Wed. night and send it back "out east" for game 7? Will GM Glen give me me money back for game 2 which has now turned out to be a non-game?? Was tonight's winner of the ugly Hawaiin shirt night a relative of the Chiefs braintrust, as some have claimed?? Stay tuned to the forum for all the answers!!
