as i had just got top honours in sheet metal and mechanics and got my pilot licence when i was 17 in the early 1970's i wanted to build my own plane and design as i had also a degree in aerodynamics and so i crossed a teeni two with a rand kr 1 with a two stroke motor after testing out fibre glass and used a new idea know used on the rand kr's foam sandwitch in the fuselage to cut down ply wood costs i decided to use low grade alloy for a second idea pionerring new ideas so to keep up strenght i used '40 aloy as bulk heads and ribs and '20 alloy for out side covering with steel pop-rivets and they held against the thicker bulk heads .
