with laminar flow we are trying to stop the pressure gradient from straterfying which causes rouge molicules to lift of the surface of the wing causeing boundry layer separation ..and with turbulent flow we couldnt give a rats arse and transitional flow we are trying to get some improvement of the air flow with out expencive surface low friction coeficients .
