Remote drain is a way to drain the oil from the engine when you have a oil cooler installed on the bottom of engine. The item is a round cast alum plate / cover that has a pipe that extends to the side with a cap sealed with a o-ring. See the revmaster site for this part which is a nice finned part professionally made. The oil can be drained with your fingers and safty wire for lock.
