religious extremists actively seek to engage in violent confrontations with the police thinking they will be martyrs if they battle the United States government. These home grown terrorist groups place religious significance in the millennium and believe the government is the arm of satan. Some mililia groups fit this profile. It is little wonder these religious extremists are on the enemy list in Washington. It is this extremist fringe that will cause problems in the Y2K changeover because the national guard will have to crush them first before they can help repair the power out sites caused by minor changeover problems. So it is a good idea to have a little food and water on hand in case you have to stay off the streets until the guard lock up these loons.

i agree with what u are saying about militias and religious freaks using y2k as an excuse but......one must look out for excuse forr governments to take more rights and freedoms away from there citizens.
case in point:last year we had a conference of APEC leaders here in canada; in vancouver to be exact. leaders from all over the pacific rim and northamerica were there. the leader from indonisia was also there Suharto is his name.
he is belived to be responsible for crimes against humanity and genocide along with ruling with a iron fist(look at east timor). he was invited to the conference under protest by many organization geared to freedom and democracy.
when he arrived there was protesters and demonstations against him and his government.
what happened was.... well it went against everything our consitution says.
police were brought in to round up the protestors. pepper spray was used on them along with dogs and forcfully removed.
our constiution gives us in canada the right to peacefully protest anything; which these people were doing.
this is only one instance where freedoms were stepped on . look at the latest wave of gun controls in both canada and usa. how do these laws keep weopons out of criminal hands. good question.
the police here now have the right to enter a home if they beleive there are unregistered firarms there. no warrents .... nothing.
if you own a peice of property yoou dont really own it, governments tell u what u can and can not do there.
these are only a few examples of demacracy going to the wayside and government taking control.
now lets say the power does go off jan1 00.

This is indeed a warped viewpoint and mirrors the views of our federal and global governments. Except that in reality, these governments know that the so called "extremists" are in fact no threat whatsoever. But, that much like the engineered y2k crisis (which they've known about for 10 years or more) could be used to clamp down on our freedoms.

Our government is under the arm of Satan. In this case Our Satan is the UN. Observe how this latest document details even greater control of nation states by a foreign body. Also, consider that our gun laws, affirmative action programs and yes even our trade boundaries are dictated to us by the UN.

Area for urgent action 7.(wherein we derive our gay celebrations, feminist funding initiatives and affirmative action programs) of course these initiatives were begun in much earlier Charters.

Please make an effort to read documents like the above which are making our laws for us, and bypassing democracy and national sovereignty along the way. Also consider that gun control, feminism, homosexuality, affirmative action etc are all not only UN mandates, but are all, in fact, policies being implemented into law all around the world.

And in regards to the United States government, if in fact you have one of your own is open to debate, Your president - Bill Clinton, received financial support from communist business leaders in China when governor of Arkansas and was invited to China before he even became president. The same is true of Al Gore who was originally chosen to be president by the chinese government. The same Bill Clinton who is selling out the Panama Canal-an area of significant military importance, to- you guessed it, the Chinese government.

This is not paranoia or religious extremism. This is Para FACT. Our nations are under seige by a global government. A government whose policies are communist in nature.

I close with words from Janet Reno (60 Minutes, June 26, 1996 episode) on what constitutes a religious extremist: "A cultist is one who has a strong belief in the Bible and in the second coming of Christ; who frequently attends Bible studies; who has a high level of financial giving to a Christian cause; who home schools for their children; who has accumulated survival foods and has a strong belief in the Second Amendment; and who distrusts big government. Any of these may qualify, but certainly, more than one would cause us to look at this person as a threat, and his family as being in a risk situation that qualified for government interference."

Serpent! do not believe everything your TV tells you! The little glowing box lies! Most militia groups are christian, that means they don't seek violent confrontation, and they don't blow up buildings. Anyone who studies prophecy(like I do) knows there is no significance to the year 2000, the bible just doesn't mention it. I think Big Bother will clamp down on these groups to make them fight back! The purpose of the armed citizen militia is to keep the government from walking all over the constitution. Those right wing loons you dispies made your country free, and fight to keep it that way. Without right wing loons you'd be wearing a swastika, so turn off your brain washing kit(otherwise known as Television) and try thinking for yourself. You can do it!

You really want to know what the truth about these "religious martyrs" as you call them Serpentine, are not exactly what they appear. On the outside they're religious nutcases with nothing better to do than cause some havoc.

Do you seriously believe that honest religious folk all sit around and say "Hmm, it's Y2K. Y'know I'm not doing to much this holiday season. Lets go shoot the crap out of some civilians in the street! Or blow up buildings!"

I mean come off it! I don't think that you're even that dense to believe that!!

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I believe that it's the governments (and believe me most of them are communistic underneath) that have plans on flushing religious reputations down the theorhetical toilet.

Lets be honest with our selves, if religious groups are going to cause the Apocalypse wouldn't that defeat their very purpose.
