Christianity in freefall?

April 4 2000 at 1:39 PM

-
I take a monthly survey to find out what % of people who claim to be religious, claim christianity as their faith. Sofar, less than half of "religious" people claim to be christian. The fastest growing religions right now are the pagan cults; satanism, new age, paganism, and earth worship. You will find that members of these cults tend to hate christianity, we live in dangerous times.

This is hardly a surprising trend. I would venture to guess that all three of the main middle eastern religions (Christianity, Judaism, and Islam) are suffering similar losses to the New Age. The major reason being that they just are not 'fun'. To a young person growing up in our current warped society, Wicca or other new age religions with the one rule 'An it harm none, do what thou wilt' looks pretty attractive. Who do we blame this on? I don't know, probably everyone and no one Maybe its just destiny. OOps sorry getting a bit philosophical there.

I would not doubt that many eastern religions are also falling victim to ths trend. Their goals of virtue and personal honor are not much fun either.

What it boils down to is personal responsibility is out, self indulgence is in. And no matter what religion one may follow, if they have a belief in the endtimes, they surely see them coming.

2000 census

April 8 2000, 9:53 PM

Pap I agree with your stand , it is an invasion of privacy. Canada is also conducting another census. The last one, the long form had 12 questions I suspect this one will be even more intrusive. Why don't they just say it is required by the UN as they plot to set up a world government. Be sure to send me your cell number because I hope the meals are good in jail as I don't intend to kiss their feet either. We are in the end times and we must choose who we will follow. I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back. Live free or die! - but not without a fight.

They are definitely getting out of hand. Out of the 53 questions about person one, I answered 3 Those being-- name, age and sex. what sex has to do with congressional districts, I don't know but, I was feeling generous.

For those not fortunate enough to get the long form, here are a couple examples of the irrelevant questions they ask:

#39 Do you have complete plumbing facilities....
#42 Which fuel is used most for heating this house..
46b does your monthly rent include any meals
19a does this person have any of his-her own grandchildren living in this house?

census hog wash

April 9 2000, 11:18 PM

Good for you Pap, 53 questions what a bunch of hog wash. None of these questions have any relevance. We are still waiting for them to come around here. It would be interesting if similar questions make the long form here. Maybe the UN made up these questions like the plumbing one to decide if third world countries need more catching up with us in north America, then we could all get hit with a special sur-tax to pay for it like the extra fee monthly that Bell added to Ontario phone bills to pay for 911 service being added in Quebec. Lets see them jail the whole population for non-compliance with their stupid form.

Census Ad

April 10 2000, 5:40 PM

I heard one of the funniest ads the other day. A school is opening up for the year, and all the little kiddies are talking and excitement fills the air. There is soft light music in the background. One group and a teacher are looking for their classroom. They are directed down the hall, down the stairs to the janitors closet. The music changes to dark and gloomy as they realize this where they will learn..Then the voice comes in and tells you how important the census is.

I never laughed so hard in my entire life !! I walked around giggling about this for hours. Of course, it was the same few days that PETA told us to drink beer to spare the poor cute cows !!

Census (cartoon)

This is a good one, also that cartoon. There are too many tree huggers in government who don't pay attention to what really matters more.
