Vermont supports sodomites

Vermont threw up a sweeping same-sex partnership law which will allow so-called civil unions for same-sex two-somes. Though not the same as a marriage such an arrangement would provide virtually all the legal rights and privileges of a marriage, like - joint property rights, shared health care benefits, hospital visitation, inheritance rights even immunity from being compelled to testify in court against a partner. Lesbian/gay two-somes could obtain a license from the town clerk and go before a judge or clergy type. No other state has such a law and congress (to their credit) passed the "defense of marriage act" which denied federal recognition of homosexual marriage and allows states to ignore same-sex marriages licensed elsewhere any status. In Vermont under this civil union bill parties involved would have to go before family court to obtain dissolutions just like real couples who are married go for a divorce. Vermont the new Sodom!

Bestiality ???

April 27 2000, 6:29 PM

I dont know if you all listen to Dr Laura or not. But she has been talking for quite some time about how accepting pedaphiles and homosexuality is the first step towards the acceptance of bestiality. Well, she recently was made aware and in turn made us aware of a popular magazine that had ads for some clothing company. The woman in the ad was straddling a dog and the dog was wearing a leather choker and all. This, I beleive is the first step towards that !! And then she was talking on another day about how in Indiana, the law against bestiality was brought up to be re-applied. Guess what? There are those politicians who oppose it!! Can you believe it?? Is GLAAD going to support their kanine friends in this?? Doreen

Bestiality

Dr. Laura is well known here and her stand against this mentally ill homosexual agenda. This agenda is promoted by the UN and is world wide. These perverts move one step at a time. Let us know the name of the magazine and the clothing company so we can boycott them.

I pray He has mercy on us. He shouldnt though.. Have you all heard that God has been kicked out of Ohio now?? The state motto WAS "With God, All Things Are Possible"... Well some one got the bright idea that this motto is unconstitutional and now it is gone.. Doreen

ACLU vs God

April 29 2000, 7:16 PM

Yes, it is getting pretty ugly here in Ohio. You can blame the ACLU for kicking God out of The state. There is also another situation they are working on. In Adams county, a rural area about 60 miles east of Cincinnati, The school board dared to put up a small plaque in front of the high school with the ten commandments on it. As you can imagine, the liberals are having a cow over this. I'm not sure what the outcome of that one will be.

Catholic school??

May 1 2000, 8:47 PM

Kohain, This was at a catholic school? Was it by any chance funded with public money? I have been reading up a bit about vouchers and how they might not be all that good. To put it simply, has the government ever given up money and not asked for something in return? (even if it wasnt their money) Doreen

You make a couple good points in your post.
(1) I also can not see the voucher thing working out well. Does anything Gov.org has a hand in ever work right?
(2)It is not their money. Although the media and the gov types would have you believe otherwise.

govt money to schools

May 2 2000, 7:45 PM

In Canada the public school and catholic school system are funded by tax money. Local taxes are collected to fund both systems and taxpayers are listed as either public school or separate school supporters. So local property taxes pay for the school systems and education is a provincial responsibility , paid for at the local tax level with additional grants from the provincial government. You are right, they reguard it as government money and demand certain things for it.

Government money(our taxes)

This school was called a catholic school but it was definitely Big Brother funded. They were allowed to teach christianity but only if they taught other religions as well. I hear some churches have lost their status as a charity for speaking out against homosexuality! Big Brother spies sit at the back and take notes. Few churches could survive without their status as charity. Could be just a rumour but I've heard this one from a few people.

Bill, I just read an article about how in Canada even christian schools have to sign a pledge saying they are not against homosexuality, and will not teach against it. How have we come to this? I think the christians, the "nicer than God Christians" can be blamed for a lot of it.. Doreen

govt. money

Christian schools likely do not touch on the homoosexual issue, but I cannot see them signing a pledge that says they are not against homosexuality as it is against the laws of nature and against what the Bible teaches. I don't believe this and if you have a source I would be glad to contact them and check it out. Education is a provincial matter here and as far as I know the provinces have an outline curriculum for homeschooling but at the same time allow a lot of flexibility as well including religion.

Here is the link..http://www.worldnetdaily.com/bluesky_fosterj_news/20000503_xnfoj_christian_.shtml

More government meddling..

May 7 2000, 1:18 PM

Have you all heard that Clinton wants to stick his dirty nose into the homeschooling networks? He agrees that parents can homeschool (thank you oh Mr Clinton, sir) but it needs to be more organized. He claims that there needs to be accountability and homeschoolers should be held up and compared to public school students. How about the other way around?? The public schoolers would fail in comparison.. Doreen
