Flordia - home of fruits and nuts

-
I liked that lotto remark, I may try that one myself.

You notice ALL the people complaining about being confused are Democrats? This is why I believe them. Anyone who'd vote for Gore in the first place is very confused as a norm. They are of such low intelligence that they NEED a control-freak government to take care of them.

I've seen the protests on TV - not one competent looking person among them. I, like just about everyone in the country now, has seen the ballots. There is NOTHING confusing about them.

These little liberals are upset because under a Bush administration they might actually have to learn to take care of themselves, go out and get a job, make decisions about their own futures, and, God forbid, THINK. This is hard for them, they need someone to take care of them because then can't cut it on their own.

Democrats searching for votes/- beware!

November 10 2000, 10:42 AM

The Democrats in their search for votes (anywhere/ anyhow) are telling voters to sign affidavits claiming they were confused by the butterfly type ballot in Florida. In the longer range would it not be better for Gore to lose so Hillary Clinton will get the go for 2004? If Bush Jr. wins, he will be one term like his father anyway and four years from now Clinton would win by a mile and be in for two terms for sure.

Scammed in California

Electoral Integrity

November 10 2000, 11:42 AM

The California Democratic Party paid for the mailing of an 11th-hour "Bill Clinton" campaign letter to unregistered, non-citizen Hispanics urging them to use a bogus "Voter Identification Card" at the polls, greatly increasing the potential for rampant voter fraud in the nation's richest electoral college state.

A young Guatemalan woman legally residing in Los Angeles County who received the "Clinton card" last week turned it over.

Since she never registered to vote, how did California Democrats happen to target her? -- Perhaps the Immigration and Naturalization Service database had been misused for political purposes the way so many other government files have been abused during the Clinton years.

The evidence is mounting that this may, indeed, be evidence of one of the largest and highest-level political dirty tricks ever conducted in these United States.

The California Democratic Party, which paid for the mailer, continues to claim that information about recipients was taken from voter files. However, the woman is not registered to vote and therefore does not have a voter file, raising serious questions as to the party's information source.

Democratic Party officials denied even the existence of the mailer.

But the bigger issue raised by this scam is the issue of electoral integrity. And the reality is there is no such thing in America, any more.

Think about these motor-voter laws that render poll watchers impotent. They are not legally permitted to demand identification as long as voters' names appear on the rolls. Fraudulent names cannot be challenged. Even when a prospective California voter shows up, and there is no matching name on the voting rolls, poll workers must permit the vote to take place as long as they produce a "Voter Card".

Folks, there are a lot of people patting themselves on the back today because of the election results. The sanctity of the American vote has been compromised. Sometimes process is as important or more important than results. And the voting process in America has become corrupt!

The process

November 11 2000, 3:42 PM

The electro process seems so corrupt in the U.S. I can't believe this! I am not saying it is any better in Canada, but I have never heard of anything like this before. I hope it gets straightened out soon as it creates so much uncertainty.

It isn't just in Cali Toto...

November 12 2000, 1:48 PM

Here's a brief list of just some of the fraud:

Tens of thousands of U.S. Military personnel around the world were unable to cast ballots for the first time in US History because their Military Absentee ballots "got lost in the mail." In past elections, the Military voted 9:1 in favor of Republicans.

Thousands of non-US Citizens - who cannot legally vote - were sent letters by President Bill Clinton just days before the election, informing them they had registered, and even providing them with Voter Identification Cards to sign and use when voting! These mailings were sent to states with large Latino populations such as California, possibly allowing enough non-citizens to vote and sway the election.

In New York City, voting machines were tampered with, disabling the Republican voting levers. When voters came out of the malfunctioning voting booths and sought a paper ballot, it let polling workers know the voter was going to vote Republican because those were the only levers that weren't working. A television news crew caught Democrat vote counters in Brooklyn, New York throwing thousands of paper ballots into garbage dumpsters - resulting in thousands of Republican votes disappearing.

Also in New York, registered Republican voters were told in hundreds of polling places they were no longer registered to vote. Those persons were offered a paper "provisional ballot" but when those ballots were filled out, Poll workers refused to place the Ballots in a locked box.

In the Albuquerque, New Mexico area, computerized voting machines were reprogrammed so that votes were not counted whenever anyone cast ballots for all candidates from the same political party! Upwards of 68,000 votes may have been reprogrammed out of existence.

In Michigan, Gore campaign workers were paying drunks and homeless hobos with cigarettes if those people would register to vote and cast a ballot for Gore.

In Missouri, polling places in heavy Democrat areas remained open up to four hours after the legal time, allowing those Democrats to cast ballots.

In New Jersey, hundreds of voters in urban Democrat areas like Hudson and Essex County, were jammed into the hallways at the County Boards of Elections, casting absentee or provisional ballots hours after the polls legally closed.

The media a willing participant - Just minutes after voting places on the east coast closed, major news networks began "calling' the race. But when the networks "called" Florida as being won by Al Gore, they did so despite the fact that a portion of that state is in the Central time zone and those polling places were still open. This premature "call" of Florida by the media caused tens-of-thousands of voters in the affluent Republican area of the Florida panhandle, to leave polling places without voting because they thought Gore had already won. Florida is now the key state in the Presidential race.

False Claims of fraud in Palm Beach County, Florida Democrats have been complaining wildly about alleged fraud in Palm Beach County, Florida, where 19,000 ballots were allegedly discarded because voters punched ballots for two Presidential candidates. Punching the ballot for two Presidential candidates automatically voids the ballot. But it is now surfacing that many or most of the 19,000 discarded ballots were, in fact, lawfully and properly replaced when voters who made the mistake came out of the voting booth, requested and received replacement ballots then cast a proper vote!

...It's in Wisconsin too!

GOP's list of voter irregularities in Milwaukee

The following is the text of a list of allegations of voter irregularity and fraud in Milwaukee collected by the Wisconsin Republican Party and turned over to the Milwaukee County district attorney's office on Friday:

Incident: Marquette students were seen taking 10 or more ballots at a time.

Incident: Ballots were taken out of the polling place.

Incident: Individuals entered the voting place with more than one addressed envelope and asked which one would allow them to vote in that location.

Incident: A voter was asked by another voter to vouch for her residence in the ward. He said he wouldn't, and the woman appealed to another person in line. The other person claimed to poll workers that she is his roommate.

Incident: A voter was told that she had already voted upon arriving at her polling place. She was asked to sign an affidavit verifying who she was and was not told what happened to her first ballot.

Incident: Polling place had a "help yourself" pile of ballots. Voters could have easily voted more than once.

Incident: Ballots were left sitting on a chair prior to being fed through the machine. Poll workers were seen looking through them.

Incident: UWM student voted on campus. Another voter showed his off campus address to a poll worker. The poll worker told him, "you can't vote here, put down (address of dorm) instead." Same student said friends were bragging about having voted for Gore five or six times.

Incident: Voter was told that his marks on the ballot were too dark, and asked to re-do the ballot. The voter did not see the other ballot destroyed.

Incident: Ballot machine was not operating. The ballots were being stacked in a pile for workers to run through later.

Incident: Ballots may have been left unattended in some areas of Milwaukee due to a broken down truck.

Incident: Marquette students voted 5 or 6 times for Al Gore.

Incident: Two ballots were given to a man wearing a Milwaukee County Public Schools jacket. When he tried to return a ballot, he was told that he should have two.

Incident: Poll workers told a voter to "vote democrat".

Incident: A voter tried to register to vote at the 4th Precinct in the 72nd Ward of Milwaukee. He was not asked for identification or proof of address. Poll workers tried to prevent him from filling out a registration card. Registration cards that he observed only had a signature, no address.

Incident: Ward 296, District 16, called the city clerk to verify what was needed to re-register at a new address. When they re-registered, they were not asked for any proof of residence.

Incident: Non-registered voters were not asked for identification at the 6th District polling place.

Incident: A new voter was not required to show any identification at the Cumberland School in Whitefish Bay.

Incident: A Marquette student had moved since voting in the April primary. Poll workers told her "not to worry about it and just go ahead and vote" when she attempted to change her address.

Incident: A voter was given three different ballots due to mistakes he made on them. The two previous ballots were not seen destroyed.

Incident: Ballot machine in Wauwatosa was broken, and until the machine was fixed, ballots were stacked next to the machine.

voter irregularity

November 12 2000, 8:37 PM

Never before have we heard of such blatant vote rigging. The democrats are a rotten barrel of fish. I have sat in on vote counts here in Canada as a scrutineer many times and have never seen such wide spread fraud. I am glad that the democrat election fixing is being exposed. This type of activity goes on in many banana republics as you know. After Canada I always thought of my second choice of a country would be the U.S. This is a sad day in the history of your country. Who would have dreamed that war vets would be sleeping on the street while a draft dodger commie pervert is living in the white house.

yeah, that behavior is typical of democrats. Cheating and lying is a way of life for them.

November 11 2000, 3:33 AM

Why would Bush only be one term just because his father was? By that logic then, could we expect Hillary to be a lying, backstabing, US Military hating, draft dodging, racist, sexist, womanizing, scum bag piece of garbage like her husband? (ok she can't be a draft dodger, but you get the point I am sure).

One good thing about Hillary though - she's probably the only female who's worked with Billy who he hasn't attempted sexual relations with.

There are two types of Democrats. Those who want to control others (the insecure) and those who want to be controlled (the incompetent).

One term

November 11 2000, 8:46 AM

I think whoever becomes president will only serve one term. The economy is about to turn bad, and that is always blamed on the president whether they had anything to do with it or not. The stockmarket has been slowing for 3 years now. Whatever happens in the stockmarket usually takes about 3 years to affect the economy. So, I think the next president will only serve one term and probably won't be well liked.

Hillary for president? wouldn't that make Bill the first lady? Theres just no getting rid of the clintons....
