the veto

The United States, Israel's only friend used its veto to block a UN resolution at the security council for the deployment of observers in the west bank and Gaza strip. Israel opposes sending observers and wants direct talks with the Palestinians instead. I salute the U.S. for its action and would have been proud if that gaggle of twits in Ottawa had of joined the U.S. in showing support for Israel and for once let Canada do the right thing instead of joining the UN herd of supporters of Palestinian terrorists. If talks don't work with the terrorists, Israel needs to send in troops. You cannot pander to this group. The only thing they understand and respect is force.

veto- no censure the Palestinians

March 29 2001, 11:00 AM

In Jerusalem more bomb attacks, like the car bomb near a shopping mall, then a suicide bomber blew himself up next to a bus - 35 people injured. The next day (March 28) again a suicide bomber at a gas station near the west bank walked into a group of teenagers - several people dead. There were more bombings also. Does anyone in their right mind think you can negotiate with these Palestinian terrorists? Hamas proudly claimed their Palestinian agents were behind these attacks. The only thing these people respect is a show of force backed by the resolve to use it.
