I've always been somewhat intrigued with the city of El Paso, on the far western tip of Texas. I first drove through it from east to west on my cross-country driving trip in 1994, and well, there's just something about the city that struck me. I'm not necessarily sure that I would want to live there (I've heard it has a lot of ghetto-type areas), but the mexican culture and influence, the wide open desert spaces and the warm weather has some kind of positive effect on me.

Who's been to El Paso? Who has lived there? What do you think of that town?

2 maybe 3 times as a kid. Once on vacation we were stranded there for a couple of days due to the motor blowing on the new Bonneville my Dad was driving. Was pretty hot waiting for it to get fixed so it wasn't a pleasant experience, my Mother agrees.

I own property about 90 miles north of there up in the Sacramento Mountains in New Mexico so I will eventually be visiting El Paso again
