You know whether another Texan is from South, West, East, North, or Central Texas as soon as they open their mouth.

You don't consider people from Austin to be real Texans.

There is no such thing as a "secret" sin.

Actually after reading this some of it is so true!!!

I'm a Michigander, transplanted to the Austin area, with family in Austin and in East Texas and I found your post too funny, and too true. My Dad was a Native Texan, although we grew up in my mother's homestate of Michigan, and he sure was glad to get back down here after Mom died. But he was as Texan as one can be, so we got used to growing up with quirky sayings and Texas Humor.
