Truthfully (no bull) of the Texans I have known, I really "git" a kick out of the phrases unique to them. Maybe because I enjoy the language.

I don't consider my language to be Texan either...
It is more of a mix:
Texan, Redneck, Mountain Gal, Hippie,
Momma, Grandma, Backwoods, Down To Earth Talk...etc.

HA! Yes, I found it very ironic that the Texas Monthly article had ads for our neck of the woods in Colorado strewn all over it! What does that tell you? Colorado is full of Texans!
