Teacher Bear, it's wonderful to see you!
I hope you are well ... and that your long hair is doing alright too!

I'm doing great, Steve. Lisajaney and I were talking about you the other day and I decided to see if you were still kissing Cacti! lol
Hair: I cut my hair last summer. It had gotten to fingertip length (when dry - a little longer when wet). My hair had gotten so thin (from different meds - which I am now off of) that I didn't enjoy the length any more. Hubby cut off 18" which put my hair about brastrap length. It is now lower waist length. I'll probably trim again this summer (and next summer). My hair is gradually thickening up.
How is *your* hair? I've seen several photos of you (duh!) but see different lengths. I don't know which photo is most current.
I'm still teaching. I've moved from elementary school to middle school. I like middle school MUCH better!
It's great to read an update from you. My hair is still long; I'll have to find a good photo of it to show you.
Ah ... Lisa Janey! Occasionally I correspond with her via e-mail. She is so nice!
Well, don't be a stranger now. I encourage you to check out some of the great video clips and crazy stuff on my front page: http://www.stevegarufi.com - The video of me singing "It's What Makes Me Me" is something that you don't want to miss!
Texarkana?
Which side?
Texas or Arkansas?
WOW! I LOVE Texarkana...
Such a nice small community!
A big HOWDY to you!

Jeanna ... greetings ...
September 2 2007, 6:41 PM
I'm from Marble Falls ... about 45 miles NW (as the crow flies) from Austin. Welcome back! I've been on the boards for almost 1.5 yr but I lurk more than post.
Steve, I just saw the email you sent to me back in March. Live has been crazy (and not in a good way) since I last posted. If any one prays, I'd love some prayers for my health and life in general.

Hi Jeanna,
May 11 2008, 4:31 PM
I'm from the other side of Texas near Lubbock. I also work for a school; I have been a computer lab aide, but now I'm a highschool secretary. I will pray for your health and I hope you get better soon.

Hey, Wayne!

I've driven through Needville! On our way out to Wharton and points beyond!
Sorry I didn't welcome you on the newcomer's board. I congratulate you on being at a higher elevation (89 feet!) than mine, as I am closer to the Gulf in SE Texas.

I'm not sure where google got that 89 ft. Needville is 42 ft above sealevel. LOL I'm up there so high that we get nosebleeds. You in Bazoria county?
Julie
I have a place down in Sarget Tx that I stay at alot. It's about 5 ft. above sealevel. We get a really high-tide and water is up to the back steps.

The house is less than 1/4 mile from the beach, and the land is pretty flat there. I was raised up just outside of Wharton. In a small town called Boling.

You were raised on a salt dome, then!

It didn't have any sink holes, did it?

mhmm
My parents house is sitting right smack on top of the dome. The sink hole was about 2 miles from their house on FM442
