Wichita Falls

Probably the hottest town in Texas on any given summer day.

At least you have "The Falls" to jump in to!

p

Everyone asks, "Where are the falls?" when they go to Wichita Falls. They are a kind of contrived landscaping.

The falls are bigger at 6 Flags.

Well...

October 24 2007, 11:57 AM

So are there actually falls in Wichita Falls?

It might be as absurd as Colorado Springs, which doesn't have any real springs that I know of. And no, the springs in Manitou are in ... Manitou Springs!

Apparently, yes....

Look at all these happy people at Wichita Falls:

And here they are in all their muddyness!

When we drove through Wichita Falls last Summer, on our way to Colorado, they had just had a big flood from persistent rains. It had made the news and there was brown mud still coating the freeway!

By the way, it's nice to see you posting in here again, Steve! Texas misses you!

I had dinner in Wichita Falls last Friday!

At the El Gordo mexican restaurant. The food wasn't bad at all.
