Tornado Images - Jayton, Texas (1991) ...

I looking on the Internet for anything about Jayton, TX and other little towns I bicycled through. I found this link of a tornado chaser who photographed a huge tornado near Jayton, TX in 1991:

Yeah, if you read the article thoroughly, he mentioned that he observed a tornado in that group cross Highway 380 near Old Glory, TX. Highway 380 and I became real tight out there for about 10 days and 600 miles.

The TXDOT "state of the art" Rest Areas near Quanah, TX have tornado shelters built within them.

Quanah is named after the Comanche Indian chief who was half Caucasian. His mother was an abducted settler, Cynthia Parker, who once lived in a fortified settlement, with her first family, north of the area where Texas A&M is located.
