Drove across just a smidgen of TX on my way to Ft. Sill where my hubby was stationed. Heard an odd sounding siren in some town but didn't see fire engines or police or ANYTHING so kept on driving--no traffic. Then started paying attention to the radio because there was more talk than music. Eventually realized a tornado was tearing through the towns I'd just driven through. [insert light bulb going on inside my head]I sped up thinking I'd be safe once I crossed the border into Oklahoma. Oh, shuddup. I was young and innocent!

Wacko wacko! I spent my last committed weekend in Waco and am glad to say now I am a Master!!!

last June, visiting friends who moved down there. Mike offered to help Steve during his trip, but it just didn't work out.

Lori and I went to a Kenny Chesney concert when she was 7 1/2 months pregnant. It poured down rain and we lost our umbrella. We just took our shoes off and waded through the 8 inches of water on the streets and in the parking lot.

We're going back to take all the kids to Six Flags this summer.

We don't talk about the four months I spent in Lubbock. It's know in my life as "the dark time."

but still have hope for parole. and this gas crisis might just be the answer. boss is letting me telecommute 1 day a week (it's $22 a day to commute and rising) and i'm hoping for full time (except when i'm on a client's location working a project ... flights out of denver are no more expensive than the ones out of austin). if they ever allow full time, my next question will be 'does it matter where i live?' we have one project mgr that lives in south padre (and obviously telecommutes when not on location) and the boss is talking of hiring another one that lives in ohio. so my fingers are crossed that i might some day explore living outside of texas. and goofy as it might seem, i'm thinking about renting a travel trailer or something similar and living in a park until i know where i want to more or less permanently land. i have no objections to keeping light on my feet and just living here and there for the pure pleasure of being able to explore different areas and meet new people.

now, if any of the above occurs, i'll be in heaven or close to it.
