I'm writing from Italy where my 15 yr old daughter has had her tongue pierced approx 3 weeks ago, I found out a week ago and knowing the reaction it will cause in a difficult moment in our family, she has decided (unprompted by me) to remove it. However, I am worried about possible problems of removing it, should we do this ourselves? The place she had it done obviously isn't a reputable place as they did it without our consent. What specific hygienic precautions should we take? Thanks for any assistance.
